How To Make $50K With An Influencer Ad Campaign Using Two Campaigns

Updated: Nov 22, 2022

Unlearn the number one lie about influencer marketing

Influencer ads make more sense for your small business when you ease their audience into liking and trusting your product.

It's no secret that the marketing world is constantly changing. What worked last year may not work this year, and what's hot right now may be old news by the time you read this.

In today's social media-driven world, influencers can be a powerful tool for small businesses looking to reach new audiences. But with so many influencers out there, how can you choose the right influencer ad campaign for your business?

As a small business, you may be wondering how you can use influencers to help promote your products or services. After all, influencers have a network of people dedicated to supporting their content and can help to spread the word about your business to a wider audience.

Here's a strategy you can use with micro-influencers:

This campaign strategy creates trust over time. It's not meant for people who like to see results overnight. I do not create microwavable strategies.

So what do you do when you have a product you want to promote?

"Well, you could always pay for an influencer ad." She said, smiling like the morning sun. Of course, you rush to type whatever niche you are in on Instagram, hoping to find someone you can collaborate with. You send them a DM, you sit anxiously, waiting for a miracle.

I wouldn't hold my breath. You see, the thing is, it's impossible to build a reputable brand when all you're doing is running an ad. Whatever you're paying an influencer to do on social media, you can do it yourself.

I can see the light bulb above your head; it isn't still lighting up...

Just one second...

What if I told you to make room for trust? You are going out of your way to pay someone to create content for your business, might as well create user generated content for your business.

Here's how to do it:

Step 1 :

Pick a content strategy. You know, something you would have done on your own the day in the life of a business owner type of content and stuff like that. People who follow content creators love that type of content, chances of them engaging with you are huge.

Realize that you're not selling your product but the "vibe" or story behind your product. You're showing your target audience your brand's story

Now, gift your influencer something of more value than free products. This could be an annual subscription to the best editing software, a free photoshoot for their brand, etc. I want you to tell them to place your product in the background when they film this "day in the life of an influencer or content creator"

In this video, tell your creator to include tips for other influencers who want to grow into this career full-time. The advice will overpower the presence of your product and focus on amplifying your brand's message = support content creators.

It has to be natural. It has to be like it was always there. Then, caption the first paid post with you like this:

What a day! Being an influencer is definitely not an easy job but I love it. Being able to create content and connect with so many people is an actual blessing, I wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you @yourbrandhere for sponsoring this video today!

When someone reads the caption they'll be curious to see what made the video sponsored. They'll pay attention to your product on the second watch.

You made them look twice, and now you have their attention.

Step Two:

After you have focused on what you want to market, you will keep creating content that compliments your influencer's lifestyle so that when their audience visits your page they get a feel of who you are and this gives them confirmation that they can relate to you as a brand as well.

Let's use candles as an example.

E.g. Sell coconut wax candles for $25. Sell 2,000 products for $25.

$25 x 2,000 = $50,000

Step Three:

Collaborate for a second time but now focus on how your influencer uses your product.

Given that you've connected with them on an emotional level, they'll be dedicated to creating something people will gravitate towards because they know you mean business.

The problem with business, you can't be stingy. You can't expect to pay someone less than $1000 and have them make you over $5,000 with undying devotion. It must be the capitalist air in this society killing us second to Covid because if you want to make more money and sell more products you need to invest in other people. Sometimes free products don't just make the cut.

Have your brand and influencers create a day in the life type of content for the second strategy but this time you are focusing more on your candles. Run a press release talking about your brand's focus on mental health, wellness and anything you align yourself with. Content is KEY but so is being able to retarget your ads using your influencer's data & your press release

Run Ads For Your Collab.

Keep in mind that it is important to find influencers who are a good fit for your business and who have a following that is interested in what you do.

So, what can you do to improve your next influencer campaign?
